Six of Pentacles Tarot card meaning

Symbology

Under the name Six of Pentacles this card occupies the sixth place of the Pentacles suit of the tarot’s lesser Arcane. On this occasion we will present a synthesis of the symbolic satins and the general interpretations attributed to this deck by the specialists in this divinatory method, apparently emerging in the Middle Ages in Italy.

Based on the deck of Rider’s Tarot, in this card you can see the figure of a man, dressed luxuriously, who delivers alms to two quite-needed beings, as if the characters of the Four of Pentacles had suddenly come together who finally found an adequate way to have riches, sharing them, and the Five of Pentacles .

Who found the help they required. In this sense, most tarotists agree that the carmantic must have sufficient ability to know which of the two situations the consultant represents.

Thus, the experts in symbology – whether the consultant is the one who shares or the one who receives – see in this card a sign of balance in terms of belongings.

However, they also warn about not falling into complacencies, as this card can also account for a non-symmetrical power relationship, where one of the two dominates over another, even though this type of power is not aggressively realized, but through mechanisms that satisfy both parties so it is positive, that is, a head-subaltern, father-son, teacher-student relationship.

Meaning

As for the specific plans of existence, this card also has specific meanings.

For example, at the work level the presence of this card may refer to a teaching-learning stage that can be established with the bosses as well as with the subalterns. In other words, it is important that the consultant is receptive to sharing his knowledge, while having enough humility to receive teachings from his fellowmen, superiors or deeds.

On the love plane, the appearance of the Pentacle Six may indicate a non-symmetrical relationship where either master, either because he has more money, greater experience, or older. Also, for singles it indicates the arrival of a person a little older in their sentimental life. In general, this card speaks of sharing in a balanced way, where no matter who possesses the most, it is shared without meztidades, selfishness or envy.

As for the economics this card sends a message, which comes to complement that endeavoured by the Four of Pentacles, that is, the importance of sharing with others what we have, without fear of being left with nothing, for giving from us assures us an abundance constant, because – according to the scholars of esotericism – we activate the universal rule of three times three, that is, everything that comes out of us comes back to us multiplied by three, said in other words the possibility of generating positive karma.

For health instead the presence of the Six of Oros warns of the urgent need to attend the doctor, in order to carry out a thorough review of all organs. Likewise – although it must also be analyzed in context, like all tarot cards – it warns about the benefits it can have for emotional health to share with others.

He also remembers the importance of helping those most in need, when we are the ones who are well. In this regard, this card constantly gives a reminder of the importance of altruism and generosity, as values to be fostered in ourselves, and in others through our example.

If it appears inverted

Like all Tarot cards, this card also has a specific meaning if it appears inverted. In this sense it loses its message of balance, to warn precisely the opposite, the breakdown of harmony and justice, then realizing negative relationships, where one delivers more than it receives, and the other accepts more than it deserves. It also speaks of situations of envy and low self-esteem.

So also, in the reversed position, the Six of Pentacles– whatever the plane of existence is being consulted – talks about the need for the consultant to accept a specific situation, which is not reporting positive aspects, as a first step to get out of it. However, it is necessary for the consultant to become aware of this situation, since an excess of ego or need for companionship (in the case of the giver) or comfort and abuse (by the recipient) can lead to a relationship of dependence, where a type d is found and self-pleasure.
