Story and curiosities of Saint Seiya

One of the most watched and appreciated animes in the world, is Saint Seiya, created in 1986 by Masami Kurumada. The series consists of 114 chapters, divided into three seasons. It also has animated films, adapted from manga.

The story is about a group of young warriors, called “holy knights” of Athena, who were supposed to protect the Greek goddess, reincarnated in Saori Kido and fight the forces of evil. Each knight has a sacred armor, which protects it and has the powers and characteristics of one of the 88 constellations of the zodiac.

But what is not commonly known, is that in the manga, the Bronze Saints placed cards of their constellation, next to the remains of their victims, and in that way to print a stamp or signature of who had killed them.

In Latin America the voice of Seiya is of Jesús Barbero, but at the beginning, he chose to be the voice of Hyoga; However, in the end, René García was chosen and Barbero was like Pegaso.

All bronze knights are sons of Mitsumasa Kido, as was Saori, who called him grandfather.

In the manga, unlike the animated series, the armor of Sagittarius was modified by the elder Kido and in that way, he managed to prevent the Shrine from tracing it.

As for the powers, in the manga there are also differences, such as the extra attack of Hyoga “Khholodny Smerch”, more powerful than diamond dust.

In the book it is mentioned that the Gods in their facet of humans, who managed to reach the divine power and thus it was that the Big Bang occurred.

Of course, these are some very little curiosities of this fantastic series with which many of us grew up. If you have some more you can share them with us in the comments.
