It is one of the worst experiences that anyone can live and, although several of these cases have already been presented, this time it was the turn of Janina Kolkiewicz of Ostrow, a 91-year-old woman from Poland who was pronounced dead at the end of 2014.
These cases are more common than is thought
On 6 November of the same year, in the hours of the morning, the doctor who cared for her checked the pulse, the state of the heart and lungs and, after verifying that she had no vital signs, proceeded to issue the death certificate.
The family gave notice to the funeral home and two hours later funeral employees approached to move the old lady’s body. The heartbroken family then gave notice to the woman’s other relatives and began making their respective preparations for sailing and burial.
However, on the night of that same day they received an abrupt call from the funeral home to inform them that something unusual had happened in the cold room. It was Mrs. Janina Kolkiewicz who, after spending 11 hours in the room, had been resurrected and had been found alive by funeral staff. The woman was in good health and returned home.
A similar case occurred in El Salvador around mid-2015 when a 92-year-old woman was pronounced dead and subsequently woke up screaming in the morgue’s refrigeration room and, of course, terrorizing the staff there.
In the latter case the woman was not as lucky as Mrs Kolkiewicz and died two days later, according to medical advice, of a heart condition she suffered from and would not be related to the incident.
And what do you think of this experience? What would you do if something like this happened to you? Do you know any similar cases?
