The world’s tallest man

The Guinness Book of Records listed Chinese Bao Xishun as the tallest man in the world. On previous occasions, this record was given to the Ukrainian Leonid Stadnyk, who subsequently refused to have his privacy invaded, as to obtain the title he had to be measured 6 times a day, and he considered it a violation of privacy.

An impressive stature

Bao is 2.36 meters tall, kept the record for about a year until in 2006 he lost it, in a duel against the Ukrainian, who recorded a height of 2.57 meters. Bao Xishun agreed to be measured by Guinness record scientists, with a frequency of 6 times a day, during all the activities he carried out; sitting, standing, lying down, reading, etc.

This title is quite complex because the world in which we live this built for people of average stature, so it is very difficult for this gentleman to perform tasks of daily life, because sometimes it is impossible for him to take the train or use public baths , because its size does not allow you to do so.

The champion rejected the title not only because the measurement methods invaded his privacy, but also because he is not very friendly with advertising campaigns, photographs and so on, because they show it as a phenomenon and he only wants to, to lead a quiet life in the c ampo, where he lives with his mother.

Bao was noted for his work in the field, as he had a goat farm, but from the title given to him, he went public and got a wife, a fact that he said transformed his life remarkably. His wife is 1.68 meters tall and has a son. This wedding was sponsored by more than 15 reputable companies.

From adolescence, Bao began to grow at an incredible rate, but the community found no cause for this phenomenon. Before the appearance of these two subjects, an American who measured 2.73 meters was registered. His name was Robert Wadlow, who died in 1940.
