Dan Aykroyd not giving up with 'Ghostbusters': announces a sequel with Bill Murray on board

After Sony apostase by the reboot female ‘Ghostbusters,’ (‘Ghostbusters’) and it wasn’t the blockbuster they hoped for, it seemed like the franchise was dead, that the spirits who appear in it. But not, Dan Aykroyd has returned to feed the hope of the fans with a statement which ensures that is running the script for a new sequel.

The most striking thing is that it would be a continuation of the first two installments, with the Ghostbusters that remain alive: Bill Murray, Ernie Hudson and Aykroyd. years Ago that it attempts to put in motion a sequel to the film of 1989, but Murray was never interested and the death of Harold Ramis in 2014 changed the original approach to recover the old team, ultimately leading to the reboot. Now, according to a interview with Dan Rather, Aykroyd has restarted the project ‘Ghostbusters III’.

“There is a possibility of a meeting with the three Ghostbusters left… is writing right now. […] I think that Billy will come back. The story is very good. Even if he plays a ghost.”

Well, I hope that last one is a joke because if Bill Murray comes back as a ghost because it would not be the same, only they would return two of the Ghostbusters original (more Sigourney Weaver?). And on the other hand, I don’t understand how they are writing the script for ‘Ghostbusters 3’, with a history of “very good”, if you still do not know with certainty whether they will be able to have Peter Venkman dead or alive

let’s Remember that Murray, Aykroyd and Hudson already made cameos in the reboot directed by Paul Feig, portraying characters different from those made in the 80’s to Ivan Reitman. In principle there seems to be a problem to re-unite them, if Murray accepts, but would have to find some explanation more or less reasonable to justify that the Ghostbusters do not know the existence of other previous computer. Or do as the new ‘Halloween’, recover to the protagonists of the original and ignore the reboot.

By the way, in 2018 are met 35 years to the premiere of ‘Ghostbusters,’ and 30 of the second part.
