The biopics of music stars are fashionable in Hollywood. We could already see ‘Bohemian Rhapsody’ and in just a few days hits theaters the remarkable ‘Rocketman’, but now the news is that MGM has launched a film on the life of Boy George.
By now the film has no title, but it is known that will tell the childhood of his protagonist in an irish family in working class and their subsequent escape to become the androgynous leader of the group Culture Club. To this band we have such topics as ‘Karma Chameleon’ or ‘Do You Really Want to Hurt Me?’.
Already have a director
To take it to a good port, have signed to Sacha Gervasi, director and screenwriter who already showed their interest in the world of music with the great documentary ‘Anvil – The dream of a rock band’. Later, he also held titles such as ‘Hitchcock’ or ‘criminals ‘ November’.
Remember that is not the only biopic of this kind that has launched the MGM, because it makes time that the company is working on a film about Aretha Franklin that should be starring in Jennifer Hudson.
