If you are looking for applications of keyboards in Google Play you’ll find thousands, most of them the same, but with a different image background. The funny thing is that you can achieve the same with Gboard, being one of their customization options who spend more unnoticed.
If the themes of Gboard don’t just convincing, or do you prefer to give a more personal touch to your mobile phone, a good way to do this is adding a background image to your keyboard. With Gboard is very easy and you can adjust the result to your keyboard unique.
Opens the theme settings
As is logical, this configuration is part of configuration issues of Gboard. To configure it you need to open the keyboard and touch the icon of the ellipsis. There you will get the paragraph Topic (the icon with the color palette).
In fact, if you change themes frequently, it is possible with a long tap on Topic to place in the top of the keyboard, always visible. You choose.
Choose a picture
Gboard has been incorporating topics bit by bit (the last to arrive were gradients), although in general are a little dull. What is not very clear on this screen is that, if you tap on the +button, you can choose a picture from your gallery as background.
The button sample the recent pictures taken with your mobile, although you can use the side menu to choose a picture with other apps like the gallery app, Google Photos or Google Drive.
After choosing your favorite photo, you’ll need to make a few small adjustments to make sure that it is perfect. The first of these is the frame, in which you can zoom and move the picture to change which part will be displayed on the keyboard. After it is the turn of the brightness and, finally, you can choose if you want that the keys have a border rounded or not.
If the result is to your liking, press Apply and you’ll have a keyboard for Android unique in the world. If at any time you want to make an adjustment on the same, you have to do is go back over your steps, and pressing the pencil icon.
