Sega will no longer publish its first video game. Interior Night soon will announce who its new partners.
At the beginning of 2018, Sega, through its european division and the development team of Interior Night, announced an agreement through which the japanese company publish and distribute titles from the studio founded by former members of Quantic Dream. Now the partnership between the two companies has come to an end.
Caroline Marchal founded Inside Night to create games focused on narrative experiences after leaving Quantic Dream in 2017. In 2018, it was announced the agreement with Sega that now is dissolved.
“We have a great respect for the study and I have a great friendship with several of its members,” said Bobby Wertheim, content director at the european division of Sega. “We don’t have games of interactive storytelling in our catalog. This was a new challenge for Sega”.
“The end not all projects go as well as I would personally like to. Well that is the end of the relationship between the companies, but we are working hard on the next project”.
For its part, Marchal has indicated that the agreement is suspended due to “strategic reasons”. “It has been a pleasure to work with Sega and have their support during the first steps of the study. We parted amicably for strategic reasons,” he said.
“however, the development of our game, a narrative experience innovative, geared to an adult audience, progresses well. We will announce our new partners below“.
