One of the main new features of the next version of the Google mobile operating system will be focused on our privacy. the Android Q renew their permissions controls to add new features.
From a few weeks ago XDA-Devolopers has in his possession a previous version of Android Q, and after filtering in the last few days some of his innovations, such as the dark theme, now new details about their new permissions.
New permission control for applications
Android Q renew the control of application permissions. In “Settings > Applications, and notifications > application Permissions” will now display for each permission a new view for the list of applications. It will now display a list of the applications that enable that permission, and then the list of the applications with the permission denied.
clicking on an application in the list you will see the options to allow or deny the permission selected. At the bottom of that new view will have access to the new section “View detailed permissions usage”, which enables us to see in detail the use that is making an application permissions, the times that you have accessed and the date and time of the last time.
Another of the novelties of Android Q is that permission location has the unique ability to be granted only when an application is in use, to prevent an application we can track our location in the background.
Another novelty is that for legacy applications, which don’t support permissions at run time (API 22 or less) Android Q will show a new window management permissions before you run the application for the first time.
usage Statistics permissions
Android Q will allow us to know the use that you are doing all the applications of our device, showing some new statistics how many applications are a particular permissions and a list of the applications that have used a permit recently. We will have filters to view certain permissions or filter by time.
Warning and notification of permissions sensitive
One of the most important novelties of Android Q is that for the first time the Android status bar will alert us when an app is using a permission-sensitive, such as the camera, microphone or location. For example, if an application begins to use the camera we will see a camera icon in the status bar, next to the battery icon. It will also show a notification to be able to access the permissions settings for that application.
More default applications
finally, Android Q added section in the default applications new categories, such as music player or photo gallery, so you know the operating system, which is our favorite app for listening to music or view photos.
