LG announces support for HomeKit and AirPlay 2 commence from the 25 of July

LG announced at the beginning of 2019 that their new lines of TVs have support for HomeKit and AirPlay 2. This week reported that the updates will start to be available from l25 of July in tvs this year.


To be able to access this update, the computers need to use iOS 12.4. In the announcement also pointed out that only the TVs from 2019 will be able to access this update and therefore use HomeKit and AirPlay 2, and that will not be available for older models. This means that the most affordable model with this mount is the LG C9 55” that has a price of approximately 1800 dollars.

With the support of AirPlay 2 and HomeKit TVs from LG can be integrated directly to the application Home on iOS, and with devices such as HomePod for experiences multi environment.

Other manufacturers of TV equipment have also reported that soon will be added support for HomeKit and AirPlay 2, including Samsung and Vizio.
