Resident Evil 3 Remake was not able to overcome to Animal Crossing in its debut in Spain

We’re back with our review of the games sold in physical format in Spain, this time with figures from 30 march to 5 April.

With a few weeks of delay we are back the best-selling games in Spain in physical format. Our last review was to the sales 29 march, so that in the next few days we are going to recover the weeks that we were missing since then. On this occasion, with sales march 30-April 5, in which Animal Crossing: New Horizons was the best-selling game for the third week in a row, and Nintendo Switch the console most sold, as takes happening regularly in the last few months.

Sales week 14: 30 march to 5 April

1. Animal Crossing: New Horizons (Switch)
2. Grand Theft Auto V (PS4)
3. Resident Evil 3 Remake (PS4)
4. Person 5 Royal (PS4)
5. FIFA 20 (PS4)
6. Mario Kart 8 Deluxe (Switch)
7. Red Dead Redemption 2 (PS4)
8. Call of Duty: Modern Warfare (PS4)
9. Resident Evil 3 Remake (Xbox One)
10. Mario & Sonic at the Olympic Games Tokyo 2020 (Switch)

As you come out from weeks ago Animal Crossing: New Horizons is being a huge success all over the world, and a few days ago we learned that has already sold 13,41 million around the world, becoming in just two months in one of the best-selling games of Switch. In Spain could not be less and for the third week in a row was the best-selling game.

The release more important this week was Resident Evil 3 Remake, the popular series of zombies from Capcom, which managed to sell in PS4 a 10,000 units in his debut, a figure discreet if we compare it with that which is sold Resident Evil 2 Remake a year ago, that surpassed the 30,000 units in the week from 21 to 27 January 2019. It is obviously that the current situation of confinement by the COVID-19 is affecting the sales of video games in physical format, but sure that has also influenced the warm welcome of this delivery, the worse it considered that Resident Evil 2 Remake.

have You noticed how the translation of Person 5?

The other big release of the week was the highly acclaimed Person 5 Royal, considered for the press as one of the best JRPG of all time, which unlike previous installments has come for the first time translated in Spanish. The game Atlus managed to sell in its first week, a few 8000 units, a figure which is not bad if we consider that the Persona 5 original, released in April of 2017, have been able to sell throughout their life in our country some 12,000 units. If we compare with the other big effort from SEGA to locate a game to our language, Judgment sold in its first week 2550 units. As with the rest of new features that are being released in the exceptional situation that we are living, have been the shops open would have garnered better numbers.

Tomorrow we will offer the sales for the week of the 6th to the 12th of April, in the released Final Fantasy VII Remake, which see if it was able to dethrone the Animal Crossing.
