Today I bring a comparative analysis between the new Samsung Galaxy S4 and other major market devices based on a series of benchmarks. The results are clear and demuestram currently, the Galaxy S4 is the best smartphone in the world.
All Range smartphones Galaxy S that Samsung has launched in recent three years have always had one thing in common: they have managed to beat all its competitors in most benchmarks thanks to the efforts of the Korean company by developing better and more powerful chipsets every year. And the Galaxy S4 is no exception.
AndroidZone we have seen in the comparison of performance in a benchmark among the but today I bring you a much more complete since the Galaxy S4 face with some of the main devices in the most famous benchmarks: Geekbench, Quadrant and AnTuTu.
GeekbenchGeekbench is a cross-platform benchmark that measures CPU power and although each operating system has a lot of factors that modify their performance attributes, provides a good measure of the performance of the devices.
In these measurements, the variant of the Galaxy S4 Snapdragon chip 600 comfortably defeated all devices: HTC One (integrates the same processor but slower clock speeds), Apple iPhone 5, BlackBerry Z10, Google Nexus 4 and Galaxy S3.
At the moment, the model with Exynos chip S4 Galaxy 5 Octa untested in Geekbench so I have to wait to see the results, but is expected to have performance similar or better than Snapdragon variant.
Galaxy S4 (Snapdragon) | 3163 | HTC One | 2687 | LG Nexus 4 | 2040 | Exynos Galaxy S3 | 1717 |
Apple iPhone 5 | 1569 | 1480 |
Quadrant
Quadrant is a benchmark that measures only for Android performance devices in different categories: processor, graphics, speed input / output and mathematical calculations.
Here, the S4 Galaxy 5 Octa Exynos processor scored 12,726, far above the Z Xperia, iPhone 5 , LG Optimus G, Galaxy Note 2 among others. While HTC also outperformed the One, the difference was much better than the other smartphones (the One scored 11,746, while third place went to the Xperia Z 8075 points).
Galaxy S4 (Exynos) | 12726 | 11746 | Sony Xperia Z | 8075 | 7632 | G | 7439 | 5952 |
Galaxy Note 2 | 5916 | LG Nexus 4 | 4567 |
AnTuTu Benchmark
AnTuTu is another reference tool like Quadrant and that tests the device in several areas including the processor, graphics card, RAM and performance of data transfer.
AnTuTu is the benchmark where Exynos variant of S4 Galaxy really shone, scoring no more and no less than 27,417 points, surpassing by almost 1,500 points to variant Snapdragon processor and almost 5,000 to HTC One, who placed second and third respectively.
Currently, AnTuTu benchmark for Android is the most popular and score as high as that obtained by the Galaxy S4 does nothing but impress.
Galaxy S4 (Exynos 5 Octa) | 27417 | Galaxy S4 (Snapdragon 600) | 25900 | HTC height=”19″>22678 | Sony Xperia Z | 20794 | LG Nexus 4 | 19318 | Galaxy S3 | 15547 | HTC Butterfly | 12631 |
Samsung Galaxy S4 has proven to be the best smartphone in the world, at least in the benchmark tests. This is even more impressive when you consider that the Galaxy S4 that was used for the test was not running the latest version of Android, so we can expect further improve results when tested with the latest version Jelly Bean 4.2. 2.
It should be noted that while the benchmarks give us an idea of the power and performance it can offer a telephone, the performance in real life is what really matters to users.
