Samsung led in 2019, the sale of mobiles with less than 600 euros in Spain, with a market share of 35%, according to data from the consulting firm GFK respect to the market value at the date of November 2019, which says that its main competitor was at a market share of 23% and the third manufacturer with an 18%.This has been confirmed Celestino García, corporate vice president of Samsung’s Iberia, in a press conference held this Friday in Madrid, in which the company has taken the opportunity to introduce new members of the family Galaxy To, Galaxy A51 and A71, with the aim to “maintain in this by 2020, the leadership in the market of the middle range”.The executive of Samsung, has explained that the 83% of all mobiles sold in Spain are below 600 euros, which represents 55% of the total market value. For his part, the 17% of sales in 2019 are mobile more than 600 euros, which translates into 45% of the total value of the market.According to data from the same consultancy firm, the Galaxy A50 has been the leading device sold in the year 2019 in Spain, followed by the Galaxy A40. In the fifth place is situated the Galaxy A70. In this sense, he recalled that the Korean company currently has a parquet 6.7 million terminals endowed with connectivity, 5G, and expected that this figure will “increase exponentially” in the next two years.Celestine acknowledges that the number of sales terminals 5G in Spain is still “very discreet”, but it is that in 2020 is going to be a market of “hundreds of thousands of units” at the global level.
