Just a couple of days, Sony introduced the Xperia Z , the latest smartphone from the Asian house with which seek to dominate the market in 2013 (see if they succeed). The fact that we were a great phone with a specification and a body incredibly well designed, making it clear that Sony has worked hard in this Xperia Z.
Inside are the familiar Qualcomm Snapdragon S4 Pro 1.7 GHz, 2 GB of RAM, 5-inch screen Full HD Mobile Bravia Engine 2, a 13-megapixel camera with LED flash and full HD recording at 30 FPS, 2230 mAh battery, microSD cards, microSIM card, 16 GB of internal memory and the usual Bluetooth 4.0 connectivity, Wi-Fi a / b / g / n, NFC and GPS.
Although we know most of the details of the Xperia Z, some points were in the air as prices availability and some more details. But we’re at CES, and have a few days sufficed to discover these unknown aspects of Xperia Z.
To begin your availability is confirmed on February 18 . A exclusive Sony has confirmed that they will stock the device day 18 and actually be on sale that day by a price of 680 euro s, which is a very similar to the iPhone 5, for example. The difference is that those 680 euros begin to fall gradually as the rest of their rivals they arise.
Another point that has been confirmed is the existence two versions, one with LTE and other GSM only. LTE version probably will not see it in Europe (except for very specific markets), the GSM being distributed by all European countries. The LTE version almost certainly find in the U.S. and some Asian country with 4G LTE.Also, we differentiate this Xperia Xperia ZL Z , a version that loses the rear glass and water resistance. This device will be marketed in very specific markets (mainly Asia), so we should hear no more of it unless Sony decides to put it on sale in Europe.
One detail that we overlooked all the existence of an official dock . It is not known prices, or availability, but are known to occur and that, as the device will be available during the first quarter of 2013. We’ll see what brings functionality and if really worth it as this type of accessories tend to be somewhat expensive.
Another question in the air was the quality of the camera. Several media have had a chance to try at CES 2013 and, although the conditions are not ideal, it seems that this camera Xperia Z is positioned as one of the best in the market of smartphones , surpassing even that of the Sony Xperia U, which I analyzed my partner Danny few months ago.
How could it be otherwise, as had the occasion, several media have also tested recording video in 1080, and the new HDR recording mode, something new in a smartphone. The results are pretty good and although not comparable with professional cameras, this is an excellent video quality (considering it is a phone, of course).
And Finally, there are many who are putting this Xperia Z compared to the other terminals of 2012 as Galaxy S3. Evidently the Xperia Z outperforms other in all aspects, including the Samsung Galaxy S3, which could classify as the most popular Android smartphone of 2012. This is further evidence that we are, for now, to the most complete smartphone we can find.
Now all that remains is for us to try, toquetearlo and buy it, because the Sony Xperia Z seems to be a tough competitor for its rivals which presumably will be presented at the upcoming MWC in Barcelona in February.
