Is used to describe the graphics of Octopath Traveler.
Square Enix has registered the trademark HD-2D and HD2D in Europe, according to Gematsu.
These names are reminiscent of the description was used by the company to the role-playing game Octopath Traveler, released last summer on Switch. Refers to the graphic style, which recreates in 3D the aesthetics of the pixel art, imitating the RPG of the 16-bit.
The log makes you think that the company may be planning to use this name as part of the title from future titles, either from new Octopath Traveler, or even as a way to update their games of the classic role-playing.
FuRyu has also made a record, in this case Heroland, which is suspected that it corresponds with the title in the West of Work x Work to Switch, and PlayStation 4.
