While continuing the rumors around its next flagship, the Huawei P40 and P40 Pro, the chinese company continues to focus much of its efforts in building your ecosystem of applications and services. Beyond HMSyour alternative to the services of Google Play, Huawei has currently a great number of apps and functions that, in elgunos cases, are unknown to many users.
Between them, we have, for example, ‘HiVision’, ‘Balance Digital’ and ‘Maps Kit’, the equivalent to Google Lens, well-being, Digital of Android and Google Maps, respectively. Of what we are going to talk about today is ‘HiCare’, the application that provides professional technical support for Huawei devices; just to be updated and, in addition to having been redesigned, it has changed name: now it’s called ‘Support’.
Same functions, different appearance
Until now, the application ‘HiCare’ acted as the center online of the after-sales service for Huawei devices. Thus, in addition to help you identify and resolve bugs that could be our mobile phone, including:
- Guides / manuals user.
- Addresses and phone numbers of the service centers premises.
- Policy of guarantee every country and state that the warranty of your terminal.
- Forum to communicate with other local users.
- Prices repairs broken screen, motherboard, camera, and other accessories.

With the new update, ‘HiCare’ renamed to ‘Support’ and change its design, but it maintains the services and the division into four sections that already existed: Recommended, Support, Forum and Me. In the section of Recommended, basically you’ll find tutorials and tips, while at the Forum, you’ll be able to get in contact with other users, ask questions, see current news related to the brand and to participate in sweepstakes.
Within the section I, it is possible to obtain info about your device Huawei, send them for repair, check for updates and set your preferences in terms of country or region, notifications and promotional information.
But if there is a section useful within the application is, precisely, that is called Support. There we can consult the service centers closest to you sorted both by distance and by rating, access to manuals, make a diagnostic smart phone (after download of the app ‘Smart Diagnosis’) and enable Maintenance mode before you send the mobile to repair.
You can also get in contact with Huawei Spain through a live chat, an email or a telephone hotline. And most important: it is possible to view the troubleshooting related to the display, the battery, the phone calls and the Internet, the system, the camera, the networks, the contacts and SMS…
In short, ‘Support’ presents us with an application that, basically, has undergone a facelift and a name change, but that is still maintaining the functions offered by its predecessor. This new version is now available both through Google Play as through the Huawei AppGallery; it is sufficient to update ‘HiCare’ and will appear in your mobile.
