HBO has released a new trailer for ‘The New Pope’, a spin-off of its success ‘The Young Priest’, starring Jude Law as Pius XIII, also known as Lenny Belardo, the first Pope of american history.
Potatoes no more than two
The Italian director, Paolo Sorrentino returns next to its main character to direct all nine episodes of the new season. The series is written by Sorrentino, Umberto Contarello and Stefano Encores, and will be the second series of the filmmaker, set in the world of the papacy and modern.
Silvio Orlando Javier Cámara, Cécile de France, Ludivine Sagnier and Maurizio Lombardi to repeat their roles. To them joins John Malkovich as the alleged successor of Lenny.
Also joining the cast is Sharon Stone, and Marilyn Manson.

‘The New Pope’ as received good reviews in its premiere in September at the Venice Film Festival, where it is stated that “it is just as rich, dazzling, and gloriously enigmatic. Provides another in-depth immersion into the hidden world of the Vatican City, marveling at its mystic with fervor agnostic”.
Its first trailer went viral earlier this year by the tomas provocative Jude Law strolling along the beach in a tight swimsuit. ‘The Young Pope’ earned Law a nomination at the Golden Globes 2018 for Best Actor in a Limited Series.
