do you Have some Cardboard at home and want to take a trip without leaving the classroom? Now you can explore the amazing city of Petra, the archeological site dug in the mountains of Jordan without the need to catch a flight or to install an application, such as in demos of virtual reality previous. The only thing you need is to plug in the Cardboard, and visit this link.
this is Not the first time that Google creates an immersive experience based in this city, heritage of humanity: the path and the images immersive of the city were taken and are available from 2015, but now Google has adapted as a virtual tour for Cardboard, with audio descriptions, and additional information.
all you need is a browser
unlike other demos for Cardboard as Trip arctic, Petra VR is not an application but a web address. You can see from the PC and from the mobile no need to use Cardboard, but obviously shines with more splendor when using a virtual reality goggles: instead of dragging the mouse or swiping with the finger, you can look at and appreciate the architecture hewn out in the rock, as if you were there.
The experience is complete with explanations and additional information, narrated, which is played automatically when a view of certain points on the screen. To move around the different points you must do the same: look for the arrows to move around the map and aim for a certain time.
If you are interested in travel, you can not miss this immersive experience which, by the way, works pretty well and fluid even in an old mobile. The only thing you need is a version more or less recent, and a mobile phone with a gyroscope. Cardboard is optional, although highly recommended.
