If when you drive you use your mobile phone to listen to music through the Bluetooth in the car, and for any journey that you make when opening the GPS navigator then you’ll like this functionality of Waze.
Waze integrates its own audio player, and thanks to him we can hear our favorite songs or podcasts while driving for a quick and easy way, without having to change your application.
The audio player of Waze
Use the audio player of Waze is very simple, we just have to click on the music icon that appears just below the address bar, at the top right of the screen.
Nothing more pressing that icon Waze will show us the supported audio applications that we already have installed on our device. Since you have just click on a service to start to listen to your music or podcasts.
Waze will show us a small player very basic that will allow us to pause/resume playback, fast forward/rewind, and add to the playlist the song that is playing, and display a list of the latest playlists, albums or podcasts listened to.
While Google Maps only allows us to link your player with Google Play Music, Spotify or Apple Music, in Waze the list is slightly different but more comprehensive. To add another application of audio playback we just have to tap on the Settings of the minireproductor.
There you can activate/deactivate the audio player, the notification of next song and see the list of compatible applications, that are the following:
- NPR One
- NRJ Radio
Waze – GPS, Maps, Traffic Alerts and Navigation
