we Continue with spin-offs in television for popular movies. After taking a look at ‘The Purge’, here we have the fun trailer ‘Wellington Paranormal’, a series set in the same universe that the hilarious ‘What we do in the shadows’. The spin-off is produced by Jemaine Clement and Taika Waititi, writers and directors of the movie, so the laughs are insured.
‘Wellington Paranormal’ maintains the style of a false documentary, and the tone of absurd comedy, but this time focuses on the naive couple of cops that appeared in a sequence where you had the house of the vampires, and made signs completely ridiculous (due to hypnosis). You may remember in the video that I leave then:
the focus of The spin-off allows us to go beyond the vampires and include all sorts of supernatural creatures and strange phenomena; the Division of Paranormal Activities of the New Zealand police through the streets to investigate cases of demon possession or ghosts, giving rise to situations bullshit.
Mike Minogue, Karen O’leary and Maaka Pohatu lead the cast of the series. It is expected that Clement and Waititi a repeat of their characters, at least in cameos. ‘Wellington Paranormal’ starts with six episodes and is premiered on TVNZ the July 11 (of time there is no date for his arrival to Spain).
it should Be noted that there is another television project related to ‘What we do in the shadows’, a reboot american that prepares the FX chain with Kayvan Novak, Matt Berry and Natasia Demetrioyu as protagonists, giving life to three vampires of New York. This other series will be released in the spring of 2019.
on the other hand, Jemaine Clement and Taika Waititi work from 2015 in a possible sequel for the film centered on the werewolves and entitled ‘We’re Wolves’. Of time has not been put in place.
