This technology receives the name of Tacotron 2, whose operation is based on two neural networks is able to interpret the text and apply the effects, pauses and intonations that are present in the same.

    From the portal Quartz indicate that one of the novelties of this version is the ability to pronounce names and difficult words, as well as to distinguish the signs of punctuation, or if a part of the text requires to be pronounced with a intonation different.

    This system allows you to transform the text into speech first, recreating the text in a spectrogram, i.e., a shape of graphic form of the words in the form of waves so that the software Google Wavenet the interpreter and then transformed into speech.

    so far, Tacotron 2 is in the testing phase, only available in English and interpreted by a female voice, as can be seen in the page of Google on GitHub, where the company has shared examples of audio.
