For users of Apple Watch who want to have access to the information of Wikipedia, a new application (it is not the official app of Wikipedia) is available. MiniWiki is an application developed by Will Bishop, the same developer of Chirp for Twitter and the Nano for Reddit.

MiniWiki for the Apple Watch started to work some months ago, with functions such as search for specific topics and the system to find entries in relation to nearby places when traveling. On Apple Watch it is not possible to read the entire article from Wikipedia, but yes, you can access some data in a few seconds and using only Apple Watch.

The new version 1.1 adds two new features: MiniWiki includes a button “Random” that allows you to learn something new every day. The other novelty is a new option that is the possibility to set a different language within MiniWiki, different to the language set on the Apple Watch. The algorithm of the image search has also been improved.

MiniWiki can be downloaded free of charge via the App Store. Also you can make with this app with in-app purchase, that unlock articles offline, bookmarking for the iPhone and the sending of the entries from Apple Watch to iPhone using Handoff.
