Demon’s Souls could receive a review under the supervision of Sony, as indicated by Hidetaka Miyazaki, creator of the game that laid the foundation for the saga . The decision must be made by Sony and From Software has no responsibility for it.
Demon’s Souls debuted at PlayStation 3 in 2009 estableciencio a playable formula that has been refined in the following deliveries, already under the name Souls Dark Souls , whose third installment was launched last April in PS4, PC and Xbox One.
However, Demon’s Souls was an exclusive game for PlayStation 3. We created from Software, but was released in Japan under the seal and the production of Sony , with international distribution control Bandai Namco, who owns the rights to the Dark Souls . For this reason, A remake would be the responsibility of Sony itself and therefore exclusive to PlayStation consoles.
“The Dark Souls saga it is an intellectual property of Bandai Namco Entertainment and Demon’s Souls and Bloodborne are intellectual property of Sony Interactive Entertainment. therefore, the decision to make a remake or remastering is up to them. I do not think that neither I nor From Software were involved in this, but could take over any study “, Miyazaki explained.
Though Miyazaki is not open himself to the possibility , keep in mind that on previous occasions he had shown very closed to possible revisions of the game. It seems clear that From Software has no interest in remakes , but Sony, as Miyazaki says, could commission the work to another study.
