Vandal Radio 7x15 - Resident Evil 3 Remake, Halo Reach and the sales of Black Friday
can You imagine a version of ‘the lord of The rings’ directed by Quentin Tarantino? Incredible as it sounds, it could happen. Or at least, that stated Harvey Weinstein when you threatened to Peter Jackson to take the adaptation of the work of J. R. R. Tolkien if you did not limit the project to a movie. Yes, one, not three.
The peculiar history of how it could ruin the trilogy of ‘the lord of The rings’ comes from a book by Ian Nathan, which will go on sale in October, entitled ‘Anything You Can Imagine: Peter Jackson & The Making of Middle-Earth’. “Or do it as well or don’t do it. Tell Harvey to go ahead, make your movie and good luck“.
of course, Weinstein did not make the film with Quentin Tarantino. What is more likely is that it was just a bluff, Tarantino has not done anything like the books of Tolkien and has declared that is not interested in working with characters outside. Luckily, New Line Cinema agreed to produce the trilogy as I wanted Jackson and the result is well known: three box office hits (2.911 million raised all over the world) and 11 Oscar nominations for ‘the return of The king’, equaling the record of ‘Ben-Hur’ and
