To celebrate this summer Android Auto is five years, and it is already available in more than 500 car models of 50 brands, Google will launch the new interface to all cars compatible with Android Auto.

Android Auto will receive your major update since its launch, completely overhauling its user interface to offer a faster experience, more simple but more complete with more information. These are its new features:

New navigation bar

Until now, the navigation bar of Android Auto was divided into five sections: Navigation, Calls and messages, Start (information Cards and notifications), Music, and Statistics of the vehicle. Now in the new version the navigation bar find a access a new app drawer on the left side, a music player, an access to the notifications, and access to Google Assistant.

Multitasking

Thanks to the new navigation bar now you can do two actions at the same time, you’ll be able to follow the directions step by step or make calls while you control the playback of your favorite music. New launcher

dark Theme
