Films inspired by true cases
We will begin with Chris Gardner’s film, In Search of Happiness. He is a star salesman named Jaden Smith, but unfortunately his employment doesn´t offer him a living wage with which to fully meet his most basic needs. He managed to become the most successful stockbroker, but bad luck always accompanied him.
Next, we have “Always by Your Side”, in which a professor of a certain university, is located in a service station to a dog named Hachiko. The story unfolds showing the intense relationship that a human can establish with an animal.
One of the most watched films based on real events, is Titanic, starring Leonardo DiCaprio and Kate Winslet. A global tragedy but also a romantic and suspenseful drama.
The Pianist: This is a musician who performs the piano in a great way, named Wladyslaw Szpilman, a Jew who lived with his relatives in the Warsaw Ghetto. The plot revolves around the difficulties that a foreigner can suffer, such as deportation, among others.
Schindler’s List: a whole story unfolded at the time of Nazism and the massacres that were eventually carried out against the Jews, who star in the film.
Another film widely seen in the real-life-based genre, is An Impossible Dream: It tells the story of Michael Oher, an African-American alien who fortunately found refuge in an American family, who supported him to become a successful football player.
A Wonderful Mind: it is the story of John Forbes Nash, a young genius who ended up being an expert in deciphering codes and was involved in the daredevil cold war, between the United States and the Soviet Union.
127 Hours: It is the real event that occurred to Aron Ralston, a mountain climber, but in 2003, when he dare to venture through Utah’s fearsome canyons, he suffered a fatal fall and his arm was hampered in a crevice.
A film called Camino, is another real-life story, based on the events that occurred to an 11-year-old girl, who for the first time fell in love but at the same time was utterly evicted by a terrible disease.
And we ended with City of God, whose plot relates to organized crime in the city of Rio de Janeiro, in Brazil, in the season of the 60s to the 80s, where drug trafficking prevailed everywhere.
