The War Cold was a long fight that was held, indirectly, in the most unexpected places. As, for example, in space. The space race was synonymous with technology and weapons power. The USSR took the lead in 1958 with the launch of Sputnik, so, from the United States was established on Project Mercury , in which seven men were chosen after ordeals to be the first astronauts your country.
The ABC has decided to tell this story I think is quite interesting and would give for a drama full of gruesome cliffhangers, a little nuance. The characters are the wives of the seven men. This would not, by any means, that detract from the end result of a plot that, as we say, has plenty of ingredients to be attractive
‘The Astronaut Wives Club ‘is based on the book by Lily Koppel. The series has no defects in shape , is accurate and well told, perfect for someone who, really, enjoy the stories set in the 60s and with a start exquisite scene. All events have their historical importance shelled, which, by themselves, are interesting.
But the series is take on some things. We have seven women, it is supposed to have seven very contrasting personalities (if not, what sense does it make this series) but still do not know too well because what we have seen is a bunch of girls who want , support and pose no conflict, for each other, showing a somewhat false candor.
The plot is not boring (the story does not allow it to be) but it is too soft . There are very strong conflicts like that perfect public image that these marriages should appear, which makes even the protagonist aside its dignity when she discovers her husband has been unfaithful; but others, like the disgust not go to lunch with Jackie to Casablanca and did not release a pretty yellow dress seem a little childish. We’ll see how it continues the series, but do not bet for a little more intense plots, we do not know where we can grab it.
