The application of Google Contacts has added an important innovation for those devices that come with the application Google Phone and have Android 7.0 or higher. This results in the Pixel, Android One, and the old Nexus.
In its update to the version 3.2 we can block the contacts and mark them as spam directly from the Contacts application, without having to wait to receive a call to be able to lock it from the Phone application.
Block and mark as spam to a contact

If we have saved to a contact that you want to block to not receive calls, SMS/MMS, or chat messages (RCS), you only need to open the application Contacts, open the tab of the contact and go to Menu > Block numbers.
By default, when you block a contact, mark as spam, to tell Google that this number is dedicated to make calls or send unwanted spam. If the contact that you want to block is not spam you can turn off the option. This option will block all phone numbers that we have saved for that contact.
Unblock a contact

If we pull back we can unblock a contact using the same steps. Open the contact, and in Menu > Unlock numbers you will receive calls and messages from that contact.

Contacts > Settings > blocked Numbers can see all the contact numbers that we have blocked, with the option of removing the lock, or to manually add new phone numbers without having to save the contact.
