A group of students from Abertay University in collaboration with the University of Saint Andrews they have developed a game that focuses on combat tuberculosis, one of the oldest diseases on record. It is called .
The game offers us fight disease treating different patients worldwide with limited resources and has been awarded the Gold Award of the Serious Play Awards in the category of health.
Tuberculosis kills one person every 20 seconds in the world and it is estimated that there are over 11 million people with the disease in its active state in the world.
The title was created by Radication Games, a group of third year students of Abertay University, in collaboration with Professor Stephen Gillespie and Dr. Ruth Bowness . University of St. Andrews from a mathematical model developed by them
With the game is intended to help meet the disease and also in research: tests the mathematical model of researchers and the data compiled are sent to the computer.
The game also includes a system of economy to raise awareness of the cost of treatment and facilitates donations to combat disease.
