Lenovo turns to show a prototype mobile phone with a folding screen

mobile folding want the next great technological revolution, although it remains to be seen if it will get especially taking into account that carry to be protagonists of rumors from a long time ago. Currently it seems that the first company to show your proposal will be Samsungbut there are also other brands that have shown their intentions of joining this new wave as Huawei.

Today we’re going to talk about mobile folding but the brand protagonist is Lenovo. The company takes a while experimenting with flexible panels and have been shown to a smartphone that is folded in half in the event Lenovo Tech World, which is being held in China.

Lenovo is still experimenting with screens folding

The video posted by the tweeter Bang_Gogo shows a kind of smartphone with a design very long that has a sort of flexible hinge that lets you fold the device. The screen still responds to touches even when fully bent, although, yes, the hinge is not flat, but it leaves a radius large enough.

Precisely the radius of the bend would be one of the main problems of the mobile phone foldable. Apparently, the panel needs a minimum radius to bend without a degradation of the screen that affect the image. Obviously, this affects the design and makes it very difficult to get a mobile phone that is dual full.

This is not the first time that Lenovo shows a prototype of a mobile phone with a flexible screen. In 2016, the company showed the Lenovo C Plus, a touch-enabled device that could fold up to become a kind of bracelet, that is to say, a mobile-wearable. For the moment there are no known plans to bring to the market one of these devices, but considering that more and more brands are taking a step towards flexible screens, we are not surprise that Lenovo’s moving soon.
