    Design 2

Google prepared for changes in your applications. A few weeks ago we met the first details on ‘Material Design 2‘, with colors renewed and new lines in the design of the applications. Material Design is the name that has the design that Google introduced Android 5.0 Lollipop and that it has been expanding over the last few years. Now, more than three years after, preparing an important renewal of Material Design that would be shown during the Google I/O 2018.

via 9to5Google we see how these new lines of design can already be seen in some of the applications of Google. In particular through the application of Google and in the section of ‘My account’. For the moment it cannot be activated on all users, but we have no doubt that we will begin to see you as usual. Here we leave you some images.

This is the aspect of the new Material Design

    Material

These images have been extracted from the Google application updated to the beta 12.6.65 of the Play Services. From there you can access the section of ‘My account’ where we control the various settings. Once inside, we see that it is divided into sections of ‘Main’, ‘personal information’ and ‘data and personalization’.

What’s interesting is to see that it is in tabs and we have a bottom status bar with the menu button in the bottom right corner, in clear contradiction with the menu button in the upper left corner customary in the current Material Design, but that was becoming less and less meaningful with the increased size of the screens.

Other changes are the rounded corners of the boxes, as can be seen for example in the search bar. The font of the menus has also changed, now using a source ‘Product Sans’ in bold.

The status bar and the application are merged into a same color so that everything is integrated better. A change that should be their own apps who to follow.

When you select an option among a list we also have a design that we’ve seen in other screenshots. The choice is displayed in a blue bar with rounded corners, a color that reminds us clearly to Google, but understand that each manufacturer then you can customize to your liking.

we Finally have some colors that draw the attention as the green notice ‘new’. A simple change but shows up easily as the game of the colors can serve to guide the user to a section of the application.

    Material Design 2 Colors

A design is not final but in the direction that will have the new apps from Google

This new Material Design for the moment does not have a name or a few lines of design set. Google is renowned for making all sorts of tests, but what is certain is that these images make quite clear the path that it is following Google.

In the same way that Material Design was a reason to renew all the applications in your time, with these new lines of design will also come renovations to the most important applications: from Maps to Gmail or Chrome.

we will Wait for the Google I/O 2018 to know what you intend to Google with the new Material Design, if this will come with Android P or if it will be more focused on their own applications.
