    Update : The MediaTek Helio X30 has been unveiled and will support sensors up to 40 MP camera with video at 24 fps. Moreover, since the GPU model that will use, could be compatible with Daydream.

    For years MediaTek has always been that segundón chipmaker for those phones that do not they could afford Qualcomm processor or spend a lot of money in the heart of the terminal. The Chinese company has focused always on offer acceptable performance and high energy efficiency.

    But gradually this is changing, and it has already been revealed the Helio x30 , which promises to be a real beast watching your specifications. The first thing to know is that it is manufactured according to the manufacturing process of TSMC FinFET, so the result is a processor with 10 nm semiconductor

    <-.! More- ->

    More to the point, we have a processor deca-core divided into three groups (such as X20 and X25 helium). The four less powerful cores are Cortex-A35 with a maximum frequency of 2GHz , medium cuantro are Cortex-A53 2.2GHz and the two most powerful are Cortex-A72 2.8GHz . Of course, it is a processor 64bit .

    the MediaTek Helio x30 is the new proposal of the Chinese manufacturer by 2017, with some pretty good specs on paper, but it might be too late to compete with high-end processors from Qualcomm and Samsung.

    it is capable of supporting up 8 GB of RAM LPDDR4 and UFS 2.1 for faster access to storage and is capable of support dual cameras up to 26 megapixels resolution and incorporates category LTE 12 . Its GPU will be the PowerVR 7xT , quad-core and which says it could be powerful enough to support the Vrtual reality.

    All this sounds pretty good, it just do not see this processor in smartphones to mid-2017 , ie one year. Later that year can be (and will be) very well used by Qualcomm and Samsung for its high-end processors, so maybe MediaTek again be relegated to the background
