Every human being has the right to live with dignity, but many times people have had to live in such unusual and remote places, where the weather conditions are very extreme or they have to live on remote islands, surrounded by dangerous animals and their access is almost impossible In these places you breathe a lot of peace, because they are far from the crowds and, really, nobody could get there. Dragon island

It seems unbelievable, but these are not mythological fire-breathing dragons. These giant lizards are highly venomous and are very aggressive. This makes Komodo Island, in the Republic of Indonesia, an amazing place. Despite the risk of living on a site infested with animals that can weigh up to 90 kilos and be up to three meters long, there are around 2,000 brave people who share the island with the dragons. At present, it can only be accessed there with a special permit, because it is highly threatening to tourists.

Mount Fanjingshan

It is one of the most magical and remote places in the world. It is located in the Fanjingshan Nature Reserve, in Guizhou Province, China. At the top of the mountain, two Buddhist temples were built: that of the Buddha and that of Maitreya. To reach the top, which has an elevation of 2,579 meters above sea level, 8,888 steps must be climbed. The construction alone is a great example of the enormous devotion of the Chinese Buddhists, who assure that the pilgrimage to these remote distances can grant enlightenment.

Adak Island

It is a mysterious island in the territory of Alaska, belonging to the United States. The site is so hidden that it was used by pirates to hide large treasures with gold coins. It was also a military base during the second world war. Despite the fact that the island is riddled with bombs and rains almost all year from the famous cyclonic storms, it has a population of 300 people and many tourists come looking for the pirates’ treasure. Several of them have disappeared without leaving any trace.

Supai village

In Arizona. No one would imagine that in the United States, where technology and the avant-garde predominate, it has such a remote location that it does not have any decent access route for its 200 inhabitants. The site can only be reached by helicopter or mounted on a mule, for several days. Still, the difficulty is worth it, as Supai is considered one of the most beautiful remote towns in the world. Not only does it have a unique community, but being next to the Grand Canyon, it presents a stunning natural landscape.

Cocos Island

It is one of the most remote places in the world. It is located in an almost lost point of the Indian Ocean, in Australia. On the remote island, is the town of Bantam, with less than 600 people inhabiting it. It has one of the most perfect temperate temperatures on the planet, which is maintained all year round. Despite being an almost paradisiacal place due to its incredible panoramic views, it is rarely visited.

Svalbard

In Norway. The town is located on one of the islands of the archipelago in northern Norway. It is located a few kilometers from the North Pole. Approximately 2,500 people live in the place, who have to suffer isolation from the rest of the world and extreme cold. But those who dare to live here enjoy the joy of appreciating the majestic northern lights and immense glaciers. For many, it is worth enduring the inclement weather to experience something so fascinating, in such a remote part of the world.

Tristan de Acunha

It is a volcanic island in the South Atlantic, in the British Archipelago. The nearest land is Africa. In the remote area, barely 258 people live. Among all, there are only nine different surnames. Its inhabitants speak English, but the roots of the town are from various countries; this has given rise to a new dialect, with words mixed in Scottish, Italian, South African and Dutch. To reach the remote island, you only have to take a boat that must travel 2,787 kilometers and that leaves only nine times a year.

Siwa

In Egypt. It features the famous spring known as Cleopatra’s Bath. The town is located in the middle of the desert and tourists who are willing to see this site must travel five hours by bus from Cairo. But crossing the desert is quite difficult. The brave who make the trip can enjoy figs and olives that are unique in the world, enjoy the springs and stay in an ecological inn made of mud and salt.
