In the present days, an event is taking place, which very few would believe its veracity. In Sri Lanka where the majority of the inhabitants are of Buddhist religion, a group of monks is generating and promoting hostility towards the small religious and ethnic sects, which are found in this region.

Of course, these kinds of religious and ethnic problems aren´t new and records are found, which show that they have been happening centuries ago.

In 1959 an event was presented that showed the dark side of the Buddhist religion, when a monk murdered Prime Minister Solomon Bandaranaike, with the minister’s inability to secure the rights of the Sinhaled. This fact was of great relevance and allowed to see the unpacifist ideology of some Buddhist monks.

Other events that have generated controversy are the violent lunges at the animal sacrifice plants of the Muslims,as they consider that these kinds of places go against the Law. Similarly, students who call themselves Buddhists hold some protests in front of universities, ensuring that exams favor Muslims.

Additionally, in Burma,a Buddhist school called the 960 movement is promoting hostile acts against Muslims, authorities report.

If you look at the history of mankind, it seems that man has not learned that the path of hatred and war against others is a path that has not allowed the moral or spiritual growth of humanity.

The Tantric Buddhists of Tibet,who retain the direct teachings of Sidhartha, claim that the religions formed called Buddhists, today have nothing to do with Buddha, as well as Christians, they have nothing to do with Christ anymore.
