In this section there are no differences. Both smartphones come with 2GB of RAM and 16 GB of internal storage (expandable up to 64 GB microSD card). However, the Galaxy S4 has more options in terms of internal memory as it comes in three versions of 16, 32 and 64 GB.

It also comes with a 2.1 megapixel front camera capable of recording Full HD video @ 30fps and Zero Shutter Lag and features like Dual Camera, Smart Pause, Smart Scroll, Drama Shot (gust of 100 photos in 4 seconds), Eraser (for delete elements of the environment), Sound and Shot (to send an audio recording up to 5 seconds together with photo) and various modes like Best Face, Best Photo, Night, Panorama, Sports, and the ability to take photos at 360 °.
Meanwhile, the Galaxy S4 Active includes a rear camera “only” 8 megapixels with LED flash, capable of recording Full HD video and HDR, autofocus, several features of S4 and a special mode called “Aqua” which lets you take pictures and video underwater. The front camera is 2MP and can record videos at 1080p @ 30fps.
Both the S4 Galaxy as the Galaxy S4 Active running the latest version of Android 4.2.2 Jelly Bean as the operating system and include the Premium Suite and the latest Nature UX 2.0 interface Samsung.
This version 4.2 0.2 comes with great new features like Google Now, Multi-View, high fluidity, performance and stability thanks to Project Butter, a new notification bar, ability to make adjustments in the Quick Setup menu, sound effects, two effects on the unlock screen, and a new animated gallery application that allows faster upload pictures and various other things.
Dimensions and Weight
Galaxy S4 is slightly thinner and lighter. It measures 136.6mm x 69.8mm x 7.9mm and weighs only 130 grams, compared with 139.7 x 71.3 x 9.1 mm and 156 grams of S4 Active because it offers the most protection.
Connectivity and Battery
In terms of connectivity, both teams incorporate 802.11ac WiFi, NFC, Bluetooth 4.0, 3G and 4G LTE, MHL 2.0 and a lot of sensors like accelerometer, RGB light sensor, proximity, barometer sensor to measure temperature and humidity, gyroscope, geomagnetic sensor and an infrared LED that allows remote control various functions remotely through service WatchON Samsung, among others.
In addition, both devices incorporate a Li-Ion 2600 mAh.
conclusion we can say that both are excellent smartphones. The S4 Galaxy Active is a device designed especially for people with a life outdoors and for that offers certification that provides IP 67 protection against dust and water and more provoked resistance to shock.
